The Motorcycle Action Group is offering a £1,000 reward for information leading to the successful prosecution of a car driver who fled the scene of an accident, leaving a motorcyclist seriously injured.
Police have revealed that rider Matthew Ramsden was travelling along the B1222 in North Yorkshire on Sunday, January 6, at around 4.40pm, when he was involved in a collision with a car at the junction with the A63 at Sherburn-in-Elmet.
Matthew was left lying in the road and police are appealing to anyone who may have information about the incident or knows the identity of the driver. They believe the car was a silver saloon, possibly a VW or a Skoda, and it suffered severe rear bumper damage as a result of the collision.

Yorkshire MAG representative Richard ‘Manny’ Manton said: “The driver showed no respect for the biker’s life so we’re offering the reward because MAG isn’t going to stand by and tolerate blatant criminality on the highways of Yorkshire or any other part of Britain.”
