Women On Wheels is a new quarterly magazine which is the brain-child of Vicky Harvey, a highly motivated and creative young woman with a background in marketing, publishing and graphic design so she was well equipped to launch her latest adventure when she suddenly found she had time on her hands last summer.
Vicky wanted to provide a magazine specifically targeted at women riders that will celebrate their achievements, discuss topics that might interest them and share the trials and tribulations that they might face. Vicky has first hand experience of the lack of provision by the industry for women riders along her biking journey with a Honda NSR 125, Suzuki GSXR, and Ducati Monster to her current ride, a Ducati Panigale. In the first issue she interviewed adventure rider Steph Jeavons, race rider Maria Costello, and featured places to meet up with other riders and the difficulty of finding well fitting bike clothing.
Issue two came out just before Christmas and you can find out how and where to get it at www.womenonwheelsmagazine.com and she has a Women On Wheels Facebook page as well.

Vicky recently e-mailed ‘I’ve just interviewed a lovely girl called Megan Frai in America. She is the star of the new Jonas Blue video for the track Fast Car (hit number 3 in the charts on Friday). In the video she is a strong independent young women who rides a dirt bike across the desert and races a cowboy on horseback, who her character falls in love with. She’s only 23 but an absolutely awesome rider and a very sweet humble person, so truly perfect for my magazine and what the female biking community stands for. I’m so excited for her because this video was her first big break, but everyone is seeing her face but nobody knows her name. So I want to tell as many people as I can about her, so people learn who she is. Good people deserve to do well in life. She absolutely LOVES Triumphs and wants a Daytona 675. Her mother is her hero who rides too and takes bikes apart in her garage! Currently Megan rides a TRIUMPH TT 600, and a TRIUMPH Thruxton 900.’
You can see Vicky’s full interview in the next issue of Women On Wheels which will be out in March 2016
