It’s been nearly 40 years since Simon suffered 46% burns over his body when the ship he was on, the Sir Galahad, was bombed by the Argentinian Air Force during the Falklands War, requiring multiple and extensive surgeries.
Since in recovery he has been working with various charities, but now wants to – despite badly damaged hands – achieve a longing ambition of getting on the road.
Find out about how a chance meeting with Triumph’s Norman Hyde led to Simon Weston realise his dream in the November issue of Back Street Heroes – on sale now.
Welcome to the wind, Simon!
