The new Skwal i3 Jet is an open-face helmet that has an active brake light, designed without the need for Bluetooth or wires – an inbuilt triaxial accelerometer activates the red LEDs on the rear when braking. There’re three modes to choose from, the integrated battery charges via a USB-C cable, and it’s even got sleep mode to reserve battery when not in use. It’s made from a LEXAN high-impact polycarbonate injection shell, with multi-density EPS (expanded polystyrene) liner, specifically designed to provide effective impact absorption across different zones.
Available in black or grey, it costs £269.99 from anywhere that stocks the Shark Helmets range or www.nevis.uk.com
