Voting is now open for Battle of the Kings III – Europe’s biggest dealer-led customisation build-off competition.
A total of 220 Harley-Davidson® dealerships across 21 countries – including 31 across the UK and Ireland – will be competing to take the Battle of the Kings crown. Now in its third year, the competition celebrates the incredible talent ready to support customer’s custom motorcycle requirements in the Harley-Davidson® dealership network and showcases the wide range of official Harley-Davidson parts and accessories available for the popular Dark Custom® range.
Dealers are challenged to create a road legal machine within a strict total customisation budget and can choose from any Dark Custom Sportster® machine as a base model, specifically the Iron 883™, Forty-Eight® and Roadster™. Each one is a perfect custom canvass in its own right and must be created with a maximum retail price of £12,995 for an Iron 883 and £14,995 for a Forty-Eight or Roadster.

Fans can vote online for their favourite entry and this will create a shortlist for each region or country. Judging for the UK winner will take place at the London Motorcycle Show in February to determine which bike and Custom King bike builder will be entered into a grand final. The overall Battle of the Kings 2017 Champion will be decided by a panel of expert judges at Milan’s EICMA exhibition in November 2017.
A dedicated Dark Custom event was held on 14 January 2017 at all Harley-Davidson UK & Ireland showrooms, giving customers the chance to see their local dealer’s build up close and talk with staff on how to get started on their own custom project.
Custom fans can vote for their favourite machine until Tuesday 14th February. To find out more, and to vote for your favourite custom build when voting opens on Monday 16th January, please visit www.h-d.com/battleofthekings
